Preparations have started for the second edition of the ISE Regional Endocrinology Practice

ISE’s educational efforts are guided by our credo: We serve those who need us, with the support of those who believe in us.

In 2021, adding to the International Congress of Endocrinology, ISE launched the Regional Endocrinology Practice, a conference aiming to bridge the gap in clinical expertise in developing regions. This CME-type meeting is held in collaboration with a local member society and will rotate around the world with the objective to reach less-resourced countries with a prevailing demand of international expertise in endocrinology. The education program combines the latest clinical updates on topics relevant to the regional audience with case-based discussions that review local cases and apply internationally recognized best practices.

The first Regional Endocrinology Practice

The first Regional Endocrinology Practice was held virtually in September 2021 in collaboration with the Emirates Diabetes and Endocrine Society (EDES). The two-day event consisted of two tracks Diabetes/Obesity and Endocrine Disorders covering 15 sessions with 31 speakers of which 19 international faculty and 12 local experts. International physicians brought a valuable, practical perspective to the local medical community and the evaluation survey showed that more than 97% of attendees agree (majority of whom strongly agree) that the presentations were relevant, speakers were of high quality, the content was applicable and evidence-based, and the sessions will improve their practice and patient care.

Regional Endocrinology Practice in 2023

After this successful first edition, we are excited to share that ISE will continue holding the conference and the 2023 Regional Endocrinology Practice will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico, as a hybrid event on 14-15 July, organized in collaboration with the Mexican Society of Nutrition and Endocrinology (SMNE). The Mexican Society is a long-standing member of ISE with whom we are delighted to partner in assembling an even more successful and impactful event for the regional endocrinology community. Similarly to the 2021 conference, the program will feature several tracks which will include lectures from international faculty in dialogue with local speakers discussing real-life patient cases from the region.

We will soon release more information with details of the program, speakers and registrations, so stay tuned for more news. We will be happy to meet you in person in the beautiful city of Guadalajara next year and welcome you to the second Regional Endocrinology Practice!
