Mustafa Cesur is a Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, and also received endocrinology education in that faculty. He is an academician at Yuksek Ihtisas University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara. He is also a clinician and the Head of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at Ankara Güven Hospital.
He has been General Secretary of Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Türkiye (SEMT) Obesity-Dyslipidemia-Hypertension Working Group between 2012-2014. He was the Vice President (2021-2023) and the President of SEMT (2023-2025).
He has been a Board Member of the Türkiye Diabetes Society (TDS) for 21 years (2000-2021). He was the President of TDS (2016-2021). He has been serving as Türkiye’s delegate to UEMS Endocrinology. He is ESE-UEMS European Board Examination in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Committee Member and ESE State of Endocrinology Task Force Member. His main fields of interests are diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia and thyroid.
