Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetology covering the whole spectrum of endocrinology, diabetology and metabolism. Within this spectrum, I have a special interest in neuroendocrine tumours (NET), pituitary adenoma and metabolism, in particular lipid metabolism in the context of growth hormone deficiency in adults and the effect of GH replacement therapy.
Uninterrupted grants of the Swiss National foundation since 2003 as PI and Co-investigator in the field of molecular imaging using MR-spectroscopy for ectopic lipid metabolism (intramyocellular- intrahepatocellular- intramyocardial lipids) and specific receptor expression in the field of neuroendocrine tumors (insulinoma,medullary thyroid cancer, other NETs).
