  The ISE works with its member societies to hold a two yearly ISE-affiliated meeting in rotation between its Member Societies in Asia/Oceania, Europe/Africa and The Americas. Invitations to bid for ICE meetings will be sent to Member Societies from eligible regions in September, 6 years prior to the event and Member Societies will have 6 months to submit their bid.

Planning is well underway for the largest general endocrine conference to take place on the African continent and the ICE-SEMDSA Program Organizing Committee (POC) would like to invite Members of ISE to submit their suggestions for scientific sessions.

All suggestions will be reviewed by the ICE-SEMDSA POC to help build a unique schedule featuring diverse representation and academic excellence from a true global perspective!

This high-quality scientific meeting, hosted at the Palais des Congrès in Bordeaux, attracted over 1400 endocrinologists from throughout France and North Africa. SfE BES 2016 Society for Endocrinology Annual Conference, Brighton 7-9 Nov

Attracting a diverse audience of over 1000 scientists, clinicians and nurses - from trainees to Nobel Prize winners - the SfE BES conference is firmly established as a key event in the endocrine calendar.

Past Events

The 17th International Congress of Endocrinology was held jointly with the 15th Chinese Society of Endocrinology Annual Meeting in Beijing, China 31 Aug - 4 Sep 2016. More than 6000 endocrinologists from 76 countries gathered for four days of outstanding endocrine education and exchange within the stunning backdrop of Beijing's impressive Olympic Park. Worldwide advances and discoveries in endocrinology were showcased through a rich and diverse program which covered the breadth of endocrine science spanning basic, clinical & practice. A truly unique and inspiring ICE meeting, the first ever to have taken place in China.


The 16th International Congress of Endocrinology was held jointly with the 96th Endocrine Society Annual Meeting and EXPO in Chicago,USA, 21-24 Jun 2014. More than 10,000 registrants representing 96 countries traveled to Chicago to attend ICE/ENDO 2014. The four-day program covered endocrinology from bench to bedside to wellness. Among the many notable speakers at ICE/ENDO, the plenary slate featured experts in diabetes and obesity, metabolism, bone health and thyroid cancer. More than 3,200 scientific abstracts were submitted to this record smashing ICE meeting!

The 15th International Congress of Endocrinology was held jointly with the 14th European Congress of Endocrinology in Florence, Italy, 5-9 May 2012. We were delighted to welcome over 5,500 delegates to the joint meeting in the elegant and historic host city of Florence. ICE 2010, Japan The 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (ICE 2010) was held in Kyoto, Japan on 26-30 March 2010. ICE 2010 Kyoto the first new style of ICE under the new statutes of the ISE. The host society, the Japan Endocrine Society organised an outstanding congress that brought together over 5,000 leading endocrinologists from around the world and showcased the latest in scientific findings related to the field of endocrinology across the globe. SEMSDA 2014, DURBAN SOUTH AFRICA - ISE Sponsored Symposia The 42nd Congress of the Hellenic Endocrine Society with international participation took place 6 – 10 May 2015 at Makedonia Palace Hotel, in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Congress was held under the auspices of the International Society of Endocrinology, the European Society of Endocrinology and Endocrine Society and welcomed 800 participants, including 13 eminent speakers from both Europe and USA and more than 155 scientific abstracts were submitted, all contributing to a highly successful meeting packed full of high quality scientific exchange. The Hellenic Endocrine Society celebrated their 50th anniversary with a special ceremony to commemorate their Golden Jubilee!
SEMSDA 2014, DURBAN SOUTH AFRICA - ISE Sponsored Symposia IIn support of the Society for Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes of South Africa (SEMDSA) Annual meeting in 2014, ISE delivered an Osteoporosis/Hyperparathyroidism symposium, featuring world renowned experts; Prof. Robert Josse and Prof. Roger Bouillon. Congratulations to the following young investigators from other parts of Africa who received ISE travel awards to enable them to present their latest research at this noteworthy congress: Dr Kelvin Leshabari, Dr Boniface Mphumuhila, Dr Digna Narciss, Dr Ofem Enang and Mrs Elizabeth Kitiku.
SMNE 2013, Cancun, Mexico - ISE Sponsored Symposia To promote the cooperation and friendship between our members in the Latin American endocrine community ISE supported the Mexican Society of Nutrition and Endocrinology Meeting held in Cancun, Mexico on 12-15 November 2013.

Esteemed international figureheads provided an ISE led Symposium on Cushings Syndrome,
ISE CEO at AFES 2013 Business Meeting, Jakarta ISE were delighted to endorse and attend it's second regional meeting of its very active members in the ASEAN region. The 17th ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies (AFES 2013) congress was hosted by the Indonesian Society of Endocrinology in the impressive surroundings of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta on 13-16 November 2013.

ISE in Ghana
The 1st Annual Meeting of Endocrinology Endocrine and Metabolism Metabolic Society of Ghana (EMSG) - December 2009

A trip to Ghana by two of our Executive Committee Members, Paul Stewart (Secretary Treasurer) and Xavier Bertagna, saw the launch of EMSG. The meeting took place at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons - an impressively large and modern building within the city of Accra. The meeting was a huge success in raising the profile of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism across Ghana and establishing new initiatives.
